One of the signs of the last days is the falling away of the church. Paul the apostle wrote, "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first." (2 Thessalonians 2:3) The falling away of the church is actually happening now. The church has stopped being the salt of the earth and the light of the world. The main cause of this falling away is the love of the self and the love of the world, especially the love of money (2 Timothy 3:1-2).




The current state of the church is like a sinking ship in the sea. The ship is sinking because too much water has entered it through many leaks. Too much worldliness and materialism has entered the church because of the false doctrines as well as the absence of the Holy Spirit in the church. When the ship can no longer be stopped from sinking, the people who are inside the ship must quickly get out of it. Otherwise, they will sink together with the ship and perish. Likewise, when the church is falling away, the believers who are in that church must quickly get out of her if they themselves do not want to fall away and perish.




And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities." (Revelation 18:4 - 5)
