DAILY REFLECTION THE COMING OF THE LORD JESUS

“He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20)

The Lord Jesus says He is coming quickly. What is your response? "Amen. Even so. Come Lord Jesus." or "Wait, Lord, I am not ready, yet."

DAY #1: AS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH

“And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.” (Luke 17:26-27)

Are you busy with yourselves and the things of this world or are you busy preparing yourselves so that you will be counted worthy to escape judgment at the Lord Jesus’ coming?

DAY #2: WILL HE FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH?

“Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8)

Will the Lord Jesus find faith in you when He comes? Do you still have faith in your prayer although it is not answered? Or, do you lose heart and faint in prayer because it is not answered?

DAY #3: WISE VIRGINS OR FOOLISH VIRGINS?

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.” (Matthew 25:1-4)

How will Jesus the Bridegroom find you when He comes? Are you now like the wise virgins who always have the Holy Spirit in abundance in your life or are you now like the foolish virgins who lack the Holy in your life?

DAY #4: A GLORIOUS CHURCH

“that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” (Ephesians 5:27)

The Lord Jesus is coming for a glorious church, holy and without blemish. Are you qualified to be a part of such a church?

DAY #5: A FAITHFUL SERVANT OR AN EVIL SERVANT?

“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Matthew 24:45-51)

Are you faithfully serving Him and taking care of His people or are you criticizing and saying evil things of His servants, busy doing your own things and not giving time to serve Him?

DAY #6: WATCHING OR SLEEPING?

“But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore, you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” (Matthew 24:43-44)

Are you watching in prayer so that the Lord Jesus’ coming will not take you by surprise or are you sleeping, continuing with your life and not aware of His call to watch and pray?

DAY #7: “SURELY I AM COMING QUICKLY!”
